MEET THE COMPOSER OF THE METHOD

Our teacher César Tort

César Tort Oropeza was a composer and pedagogue who dedicated his life to children’s music education. Creator of the Tort Method, he believed that every child deserved access to high-quality music education, using play as a tool to awaken their sensitivity and support their learning.

A Different Vision

Rather than simplifying music for children and underestimating them, he believed in offering them works of great musical richness and complexity, allowing them to develop their ear, sensitivity, and artistic understanding from an early age.

Accessible Music

César Tort advocated for music education that was accessible both economically and pedagogically. Through singing and percussion, any child could begin learning music immediately and develop a strong musical foundation.
